The Leisure and Communities Department of Dundee City Council is involved everyday with children, young people and adults throughout Dundee - they may be adult education/guidance workers, youth workers, sports development workers, arts workers, librarians, park rangers, etc.

All members of staff in the Department are aware that in the course of their work they may come across children or young people who are in need of protection.

If a member of staff is concerned about child or young person, he or she will tell someone about it. There are people within the Leisure and Communities Department who are trained to be able to advise and support their colleagues and who know who needs to be contacted. These people are also able to give advice on supporting and helping the child or young person.
